David Bond has had a passion for mystery and horror stories since he was a young man. After 46 years working for corporate muckity-mucks, David retired to pursue his lifelong passion for writing. He and his wife, Annah, have flipped the corporate world the bird and moved to Thailand, where they have a home and spend much of the year enjoying the “Land of Smiles.” They also maintain a home in Orlando, Florida, where they spent many years before moving overseas.

 

A baby boomer raised in South Jersey, David grew up listening to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and spending weekends at the Jersey Shore. His imagination runs wild throughout his first series, The Cemetery 6, drawing inspiration from life experiences and writers such as Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Edgar Allan Poe, and Jack Ketchum. As David puts it, “Some of their books just scare the crap out of me.”

 

David’s final corporate position was Night Manager for a major hotel brand—a job that provided plenty of material for future horror stories. In fact, he promises a creepy book about the hotel graveyard shift somewhere down the road. After all, when you work nights in a hotel, you see things.

 

Although David has always loved the horror genre, he credits several coworkers who shared his obsession with horror books and movies for encouraging him to turn that passion into writing.
